Easter in Rome is a very special time of year.
Besides the week-long celebration from the heart of the Universal Church — the Vatican — families will gather around the table and celebrate with a lavish feast with traditional dishes such as lamb, fish, vegetables, pasta, and a spread of dessert.
This includes restaurants in and around Rome who will be preparing the classic Easter feast on a grand scale for Romans who prefer to be served while enjoying the outdoors. This includes — Da Giggetto — located in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto near the ancient Portico d'Ottavia.
